Just for Memories...reflections of the past...and maybe a little odds and ends...

What a beautiful day, almost spring like. we've had our share of rain the last few weeks which we needed very badly. but today the sun is out and the sky is blue. I am a cloud person. Big puffy white cumulus clouds, with just a touch of grey. It is so awsome to see the changing seasons. I remember as a kid in New Orleans not really seeing any change. just hot, humid to cold wet. Then when we moved to Ohio I enjoyed the beauty of autumn and the snow in winter, and the robins ment spring.
It is so wonderful to live in differant parts of the country to see the differant seasons. Even the desert of Nevada has beauty of seasons.

I watched the news a couple of days ago about the round up of the mustangs in Nevada. and remembered how beautiful it was to see them run free over the prairie when we lived there. The bad thing is they get over populated and don't have enough to eat . Instead of rounding them up they should take a percentage of the stallions and fix them so they will slow the growth down.

Regardless of the buracratic problems we have we still have a great nation and hopefully it will last for a very long time. As the song says"from sea to shinning sea." my heart still swells up when I think of America and our Flag and the people that died to keep us free. Let us not take that for granted. My pray is that GOD will continue to Bless America!

It's great to realize that a family who lives on welfare in the US is much better off than a middle income African family. Who else in the world, besides Americans, could have a nice car, color television, a house, nice warm clothing, medical care, a good education and plenty to eat,- without even having to hold down a job. What a country!
