What an awsome weekend. My daughter Kat invited me to a womens retreat near Santa Cruz. I left Thursday spent the night with her family and Friday morning we drove over to Scott valley. Beautiful place. It rained hard going over and a few times when we got there. But It's a wonderful place. little cabins and a creek running behind and under some of the buildings. It sure was nice to be waited on for three meals a day and not have to do dishes. wow. We had free time on Saturday and not having heard about the tsunama we drove to the beach in Santa Cruz and the waves were really ripping. Hunderds of people lined the road watching for it. And we started to walk down to the water and the Beach patrol came and told us to leave. That's when we found out what happened. There were actually two surfers out in the water. duh!!! Anyway Thank GOD it didn't do what they thought it would .So we went back and just had a great time at the camp. Wonderful staff, friendly and things couldn't have been more perfect. Thank You to my daughter for taking me. We had a great time sharing with each othe., and with all the other ladies from Kathys' church they are incredable.
