Memories...

Just for Memories...reflections of the past...and maybe a little odds and ends...

Well another holiday went by and we had two of the grandkids for the week, It was mostly enjoyable but I have a hard time understanding sibling rivalry. I was raised an only child and when I see brothers that can't seem to be in the same room without saying something mean then I don't deal with it too well. It's like the movies where one says, "He's touching me, Or he's looking at me". I keep telling them one day they will be best friends but they look at me like I have two heads.
When my half brothers and sisters were little they stuck together like glue. If one got in trouble they all took the blame. It's kind of like they were all they had. Their mom died when they were little and dad was gone for a while. That's the way I think of siblings.

Anyway I love all my grandkids and want them to love each other and not treat each other bad. Hurt can come from saying mean things to each other. They use to say that "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me" but that is not true. Names do hurt. A wise bunnie mom once said, "If you can't say nothing nice, do't say nothing at all" (on bambi).

your oldest grandkids are STILL that way some times. We won't start on the great grandkids. :)
