What a beautiful day, almost spring like. we've had our share of rain the last few weeks which we needed very badly. but today the sun is out and the sky is blue. I am a cloud person. Big puffy white cumulus clouds, with just a touch of grey. It is so awsome to see the changing seasons. I remember as a kid in New Orleans not really seeing any change. just hot, humid to cold wet. Then when we moved to Ohio I enjoyed the beauty of autumn and the snow in winter, and the robins ment spring.
It is so wonderful to live in differant parts of the country to see the differant seasons. Even the desert of Nevada has beauty of seasons.

I watched the news a couple of days ago about the round up of the mustangs in Nevada. and remembered how beautiful it was to see them run free over the prairie when we lived there. The bad thing is they get over populated and don't have enough to eat . Instead of rounding them up they should take a percentage of the stallions and fix them so they will slow the growth down.

Regardless of the buracratic problems we have we still have a great nation and hopefully it will last for a very long time. As the song says"from sea to shinning sea." my heart still swells up when I think of America and our Flag and the people that died to keep us free. Let us not take that for granted. My pray is that GOD will continue to Bless America!

I am not into politics but today I got an e-mail that really disturbed me. Ever hear of the ACLU? American Civil Liberties Union. Well some how we as americans have given them a lot of power and they are into things that take our freedoms away.
The one I read today is about them wanting to take the cross shaped headstones down from the cemetaries like Arlington. Oh my GOD! It might offend someone. And to stop the Chaplains from saying prayers in the armed forces .It's a shame that we've gotten so lax in our believes in this "country of freedom" that we let them sneak in and take it all away from us. What's next? will they outlaw our flying the flag from our front porch because it will offend someone that is not american?
This country was set up for religious freedom and freedom of speech. but now you have to watch what you say and do in case it is not politically correct. I don't mean it's ok to call people names or make fun of their believes,. We should have to answer for rudeness. but not have the government tell me if I can have a "Merry Christmas" or put a cross up if I want one.
How did we let it get this far, what can be done.? I think that's why the people want another "tea party" cause they are fed up. I know that GOD has to be!!!

Got a phone call this morning that another granchild got their drivers license. How scarey is that. We have 8 and half are driving and the other half can't wait.
I remember when my kids got theirs, and I was apprehensive about them leaving the house and coming back safely. But that is a preview of them actually leaving the nest and part of becoming adults and us allowing them to do it. Wow now my kids are going through that process. When they are little you teach them to ride a bike and run next to them and let go and watch them take their share of spills. It is not much differant then them leaving the nest and you have to stand by and let them do the same in life. At some point you have to let go of the bike, just like at some point you have to let them go in life.

GOD gave us our kids to raise up and feed and cloth them and teach them right from wrong. at some point we have to turn them over to HIM to shape them and mold them into the persons they will become. But if we keep saving them everytime they have a trial they will not grow. So we learn early to let go of the handlebars and trust that we did the best we could. and "PRAY ALOT" Football coach Vince Lombardi once said," It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get back up." Life has a lot of ups and downs but keep getting back up and you'll get the reward.
